Jayne Kemp and daughter Hannah,

August 2007, Kandersteg Switzerland.

This page is dedicated to our Assistant Scout Leader Jayne Kemp, who died in a road traffic collision near Eastbourne on Thursday 10th July 2008.

Jayne was a dedicated leader, and was part of the team that took the scout troop to Switzerland in 2007 for the scouting centenary. It was a unique event, all of us that went know that for Jayne it was a very special experience, we take some solace in that she was able to have that experience before she was taken so suddenly from us.

Jayne was a valued leader, a good friend, and a fine role model for our scouts, it was our privilege to have known her. Some words from Baden-Powell, our founder, sum up all she meant to us;

"the most worth-while thing is to try to put happiness into the lives of others"
